The Communication Graduate Student Association (CGSA) is a professional and social community of all communication graduate students at UMass Amherst. Our objective is to improve the scholarly, collegian, and social atmosphere of the Department of Communication. Our functions are to facilitate the academic, social, and professional well being of graduate students and to help maintain a collaborative, collegian graduate student community. All graduate students within the Department of Communication are automatically members.
New Cohort Social Gatherings!!!
As July turns to August it is time to start thinking about the upcoming school year. Chaos and frequent stress is bound to occur but before it does let us take time to welcome in the new graduate cohort, which will also provide a space for the new cohort to meet each other along with other graduate students in the department. There will be two events within the first couple of weeks hopefully allowing everyone the chance to participate in one or both events so mark your calendars now and hope to see you all there! Details follow:
- First Gathering: August 31, 2008 (Sunday) at Amherst Brewing Company (24 North Pleasant St., Amherst). 6:00PM-8:00PM.
- Second Gathering: September 7, 2008 (Sunday), 3:00PM-7:00PM at Sugarloaf (28 River Rd, Sunderland, MA 01375).
