Institutional memory within the Communication Department is not in good shape - particularly within the graduate student body. Grad students have been teaching dozens and dozens of different courses in the department over the years, and they have put together many innovative, interesting course syllabi and course plans. New grad students who are scheduled to teach stand-alone courses for the first time have to beg for syllabi from people who have taught before. Now that we have this wiki, why not share your syllabus, course materials, and pedagogical philosophies and strategies, in the interest of furthering the department's already impressive teaching record?
